NAUGATUCK — The 34th annual Harvest Moon Festival is set to shine next weekend.

The festival, which is hosted by Boy Scout Troop 102, is Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on the Naugatuck Green.

The festival will feature more than 80 craft vendors, food vendors, community service organizations, and demonstrations of outdoor skills by local Boy Scouts, Festival Committee Chairman Ray Blum said.

The festival will also feature live music by 60’s Satisfaction and the Hollister Thompson Band.

Blum said the festival has lasted more than three decades because people enjoy attending it and the vendors continue to return year after year.

“I believe that Naugatuck is a community that enjoys coming together for these local events,” Blum said. “They enjoy the crowd, and many have commented that it is one of the best run festivals that they participate in.”

Blum encouraged people to come down to the Green and see what the festival has to offer.

“It is an excellent opportunity for folks to get out of the house and experience a nice blend of unique crafters, food and music, as well as several health and residential community service providers. And with the fall-like weather that we have been experiencing, a great opportunity to leave the electronic devices home, and get the family out for a few hours of fun,” Blum said.
