BEACON FALLS — The Beacon Falls Library is piloting a new service this month that allows patrons to download comics, music, television shows and movies in addition to eBooks and audio books.

Multiple people can check out the same items at the same time from Hoopla, with no holds or waiting periods.

Hoopla will be rolled out to the general public after the state budget is completed and its impact on the town’s budget is settled.

To cover the costs of the new product, the library’s subscriptions to Universal Class and Newsbank were not renewed.
