BEACON FALLS — The town is accepting applications for housing rehabilitation projects.

The town recently received a $400,000 Community Development Block Grant to pay for projects. Eligible activities include replacing failed furnaces, roofs, windows, doors, electrical, heating, plumbing, septic system repairs, and Americans with Disabilities Act modifications, a press release issued by the town stated.

To be eligible, property owners must have an annual income that does not exceed $47,600 for a one-person household or $68,000 for a four-person household. Applicants must also be up to date on municipal taxes and have 10 percent equity in the home.

The loans for projects are given at 0 percent interest. The loans are payable when the title of the home changes hand via a lien on the home.

Applications are available at Town Hall, 10 Maple Ave., online at www.beaconfalls-ct.org, or from the town’s consultant, Lisa Low & Associates, by emailing  info@lisalowassociates.com or calling 203-888-5624.
