Summer festival postponed to Sunday

NAUGATUCK — With the forecast calling for rain on Saturday, officials postponed the Naugatuck Summer Festival to Sunday.

The times and activities planed remain the same. The festival, which is along Church Street, runs from 4 to 10 p.m. The festival will conclude with a fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.

The festival will feature lives bands, activities for children, and a performance by Portuguese dancers. Around 80 vendors and civic groups will line the streets along with local restaurants and food trucks.

The festival incorporates a car show from 4 to 7 p.m. organized by Dave’s Automotive. Car owners who wish to participate can call 203-565-2791.

Parking is available at the Naugatuck Event Center, which is the former General DataComm building on Rubber Avenue.
