HARTFORD — James Lawrence Magone, 67, passed away peacefully at Chelsea Place Care Center on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017.
Jimmy was born in Waterbury on July 9, 1950, son of the late Lawrence J. Magone and Helen (Zwolinski) Magone. James was a longtime resident of the Waterbury and Naugatuck area.
He is survived by his sisters, Laurie Maloney and Marilyn Magone, both of Naugatuck, and Nancy McCallum and her husband, Gregor, of Wolcott; and his two nephews, Eric and Geoffrey McCallum, both of Southington.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hartford Health Care at Home Hospice for their compassionate care during his illness. Also, the family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Ananda Linsley of Guardian Ad Litem. She went above and beyond the job on many occasions. Her support and help through the years will be appreciated and never forgotten.
In addition, there were numerous caregivers over the years and the list would be quite long but the individuals played a significant role in our brother’s life: Dr. Nazareth, Shirley Barnos, Antoinnette, Hal, and all of the nurses and aides of 2C at Chelsea Place Center. Your kindness will always be remembered.
All services are private. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
