Eastern Connecticut State University

WILLIMANTIC — Jill Monck of Naugatuck was inducted into Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology.

Eastern students who are inducted into Psi Chi must declare a major or minor in psychology, have at least 12 credits of coursework in psychology and attain a 3.5 GPA in psychology and a 3.0 GPA overall.

Rebecca Witkoski of Naugatuck was inducted into Alpha Chapter of the Alpha Upsilon Chi (AUC) honor society this spring.

AUC is the international honor society for health, physical education, recreation, sport and dance, and was established to recognize college students for their academic achievement and professional involvement in the field.

Saint Michael’s College

COLCHESTER, Vt. — Saint Michael’s College graduate Patrick Dietz of Prospect was inducted into the Psi Chi academic honor society for psychology during the 2016-17 school year.

Saint Anselm College

MANCHESTER, N.H. — Saint Anselm College student Anna Boris of Prospect was accepted into Pi Sigma Alpha, Upsilon Lambda Chapter National Political Science Honor Society; and Pi Gamma Mu of the International Honor Society in Social Sciences.

Undergraduates may be considered for induction if they have achieved an average grade of 3.0 or higher in all honor-related courses. Additionally, candidates must be in the top third of the class based on an overall GPA.

Quinnipiac University

NORTH HAVEN — Julie Bergeron of Prospect was recently inducted into the Tau Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing, during a recent ceremony at the Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University.

Florie Vinca, of Prospect, was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International.

Students inducted into the society must be business majors within the top 10 percent of their class at the undergraduate level or in the top 20 percent at the graduate level.

Becker College

WORCESTER, Mass. — Samantha Lee, of Prospect, was inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma and Alpha Chi at Becker College.

Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society, is for junior and senior student-athletes who maintained a 3.4 to 4.0 GPA and earned a letter in their sport. Alpha Chi limits membership to the highest 10 percent of full-time students in the junior and senior classes.

University of Bridgeport

BATON ROUGE, La. — Tracy Jimenez, of Naugatuck, was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. Jimenez is pursuing a degree in human services at University of Bridgeport.

Phi Kappa Phi membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership.

Emmanuel College

BOSTON — Katherine Drewry, of Prospect, was inducted Phi Alpha Theta, an American honor society for undergraduate and graduate students and professors of history.
