NAUGATUCK — The St. Francis-St. Hedwig School Spring Carnival returns to the borough this week.

The carnival, which is hosted by the St. Francis-St. Hedwig Home School Association, opens Thursday night. The carnival is open from 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and from 2 to 10 p.m. Saturday on the St. Francis Field on Church Street.

The carnival, which features rides, games, and food, was revived by the association in 2012 after a five-year hiatus. Since its revival, the association has run the carnival each year and all of the money made supports the school’s operating budget, said Christina Leahy, a member of the association.

Leahy said the carnival is a fun event that features something for the whole family.

“There are a lot of fun rides and games for kids. There is a lot of good food for adults too big to go on the rides,” Leahy said.
