NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck YMCA unveiled its new Imagination Playground on Tuesday.
The playground equipment is a collection of custom-designed, oversized blue foam parts that provide a changing array of elements that allow children to turn their playground into a space to be constantly built and re-built by their imaginations, a press release stated.
Children spent Tuesday morning playing with the new equipment.
The Dr Pepper Snapple Group and the nonprofit organization KaBOOM! awarded the Naugatuck YMCA a $13,200 Let’s Play Improvement Grant to purchase the equipment.
