BEACON FALLS — St. Michael’s Church is selling raffle tickets to help raise money for renovations.

Tickets for the Pot O’Gold raffle are $25 each. They can be bought through March 12 and only 2,000 will be sold. There are 12 cash prizes that will be awarded during the drawing on March 12. The grand prize is $10,000.

The money raised from the raffle will go to help the church pay for renovations in its lyceum.

Susan Cable, a parishioner and member of the Pot O’Gold committee, said the renovations have been moving along, but at a slow pace.

The church has gutted the lyceum, removed the stage, and demolished the kitchen, Cable said. There has been some electrical work finished in preparation for the kitchen being reconstructed, she added.

The next step is to actually begin the reconstruction of the kitchen, Cable said.

Cable said the raffle is a major fundraiser for the renovations.

“We can only pay so much for the work. We have volunteers who help us, but they can only do it when they have time,” Cable said.
