WATERBURY — Helen “Buzz” Bazarian, 92, died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 at Glendale Center in Naugatuck.
Helen was born on May 29, 1924 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Minas and Marie (Krekorian) Bazarian, and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. Helen is a graduate of Crosby High School and the University of Connecticut. Helen retired from the Scovill Manufacturing Company where she worked as an administrative secretary. Helen loved her family and for many years was a caregiver to her father. She traveled extensively throughout the world and she was a faithful member and volunteer at the First Congregational Church of Waterbury.
Helen is survived by her sister, Elaine Broderick; her nephews, Mark Broderick and his wife, Suzanne, Gary Broderick and his wife, Patricia, Dr. Wayne Munson and his wife, Rev. Beatrice Manning, PhD, Lee Munson and his wife, Ellen, Leslie Munson and his wife, Stacey, Dr. Jeffrey Bazarian and his wife, Tracey, and Stephen Bazarian, Esquire and his wife, Laurie, and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Helen was predeceased by her sister, Laura Munson and her brother, Myron Bazarian.
Helen’s family would like to thank the staff at Glendale Center for the care and comfort they provided.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church of Waterbury, 222 West Main St., Waterbury. Family and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
