NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck police have located stolen landscaping equipment at local pawn shops and are hoping to match the tools with their owners.

Police have been investigating several larcenies of landscaping equipment that have occurred throughout Naugatuck and the greater Naugatuck area for the past several months. The stolen items include leaf blowers, snow blowers, hedge trimmers and lawnmowers, police said.

Police said they have suspects in the thefts, but need the owners of the equipment to come forward so the recovered items can be connected with a victim, allowing officers to tie the suspects to the crime.

Police are asking any victims that may have had these types of items stolen since May, and have not already reported these items stolen, to contact Det. Andre Moutela at 203-720-2588.
