Obituary: John J. Zeneski Sr.

NAUGATUCK — John J. Zeneski, Sr., 81, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at his home.

Mr. Zeneski was born Oct. 26, 1934 in Danbury, the son of the late Julian and Veronica (Urbanowski) Zeneski. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy. He had been a resident of Naugatuck for the last 20 years having previously resided in Newtown and Bethel. John worked for Connecticut Light and Power for over 35 years as a customer service representative and concluded his career as a park ranger overseeing the public access areas of the hydro-electric plant at the Stevenson Dam.

He is survived by his sons, John J. Zeneski, Jr. and his wife, Dulcy, of Mountain Top, Pa., and Jeff Zeneski and his wife, Naloah, of Mount Washington, Ky., as well as his grandchildren, Taylor, Luke, Eli, Zachary, Jonah, Caleb and Haley.

Funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to any Disabled American Veterans charities. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
