Knights hosting golf tournament

NAUGATUCK — The Knights of Columbus are hosting a golf tournament to aid breast cancer research.

The tournament is scheduled for Sept. 24 at the Western Hills Golf Course on Park Road in Waterbury. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center in Waterbury and the Knights’ charitable giving.

The tournament, which is a scramble format, includes 18 holes of golf, a golf cart, lunch and dinner. The tournament will also feature hole-in-one, closest to the pin, putting green, and longest drive contests.

Registration and lunch is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The tournament starts at 1 p.m. and dinner is at 5:30 p.m. The cost is $500 per foursome, $125 per player and $40 for dinner only.
