PROSPECT — The Planning and Zoning Commission this month approved a special permit to allow a restaurant to operate with a drive-thru at 64 Waterbury Road.

The building, which used to be a Bank of America and most recently housed Millennium Computer Solutions, is expected to be occupied by Golden Wok, a Chinese restaurant. The property is owned by American General Investors.

Golden Wok closed last September when a fire completely destroyed the building at 14 Waterbury Road where the restaurant and an office for MTM Masonry and Chimney were located.

Mark Guastaferri, one of the principals of American General Investors, previously said the building at 64 Waterbury Road would not take much work to turn into a restaurant. He estimated the restaurant would open by September.
