Obituary: Roy H. Camber

PROSPECT — Roy H. Camber, 90, husband of the late Kathleen A. (Cusack) Camber, died peacefully Monday, April 11, 2016 at his home.

Roy was born on February 2, 1926 in Richmond, N.Y., a son of the late Homer B. and Bella Margaret Camber. He was a former New Haven resident, and had lived in Prospect for the past 30 years. Roy was a proud World War II U.S. Navy Veteran. Roy was a former fabricator at Bridgeport Steel and he also worked as a longshoreman for many years.

Roy is survived by his friend, Carla M. Perugini-Erickson, who would like to thank his neighbor, Gary Card, who watched over him; his longtime nurse and caregiver, Carla Laroque, who is sincerely thanked for the invaluable care she provided, and his caregivers Lois Walters, Carly Fenn, Nicholas Atwood, Charlene Mitchell and Gigi Patrizi for their kindness and services.

All services are private and there are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Ave., Naugatuck.
