Grant brings murals to Region 16

REGION 16 — Long River Middle School and the world language department received a grant to rent the Teacher’s Discovery Traveling Exhibit for two weeks.

Long River will be displaying an exhibit featuring three murals of Mexican artist Diego Rivera April 4 to April 8, a press release stated. The exhibit will be displayed at Woodland Regional High School the following week.

Woodland will host a student and parent viewing and reception at 6:15 p.m. on April 14 prior to the World Language Honor Society Induction.

All world language classes will be discussing Rivera’s political and symbolic images while the exhibit is in Region 16, which oversees schools in Beacon Falls and Prospect.
