NAUGATUCK — William V. “Bill” Montero, 32, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016.

Bill was born in Queens, N.Y., on Feb. 20, 1984, son of Walter M. Montero and Linda R. Lenart. A lifetime Naugatuck resident, he was educated in local schools and played sports all of his life. He was currently working at Pennsylvania Steel Company in Naugatuck, and Meehan & Ramos Pools. Being a hard worker, Bill often held two jobs.

Bill’s love of sports was evident, as he coached youth basketball at the Naugatuck YMCA. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and Buffalo Bills, and enjoyed many games with his brother Peter. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

Besides his parents, he leaves his brother, Peter M. DeCicco, Jr. of the Bronx, N.Y.; his sister, Marie DeCicco of Marlton, N.J.; a niece, two nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Bill also leaves his beloved pit bull, Jeter.

Visitation hours for Bill will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016 at noon at All Saints Cemetery, Spring Lake Road, Waterbury.
