Letter: Digital coupons are no help to seniors

To the editor,

I am a 74-year-old senior and I fully agree with an editorial that I read last week. I, like many other seniors, do not know how to use computers and do not want to have to go to a library so that they can help me apply for [a Shop Rite digital coupon].

There have been too many people that I know that have had their personal information compromised. I would like to know if Shop Rite will take the responsibility in writing, that if any ID theft takes place that they would take full responsibility? I am sure that there are other ways that they can offer seniors these discounts if they wanted. I am not blaming the stores, they are only doing what corporate tells them to do. Let’s get the senior centers and AARP to voice their opinions on this.
