BEACON FALLS — Chester (Chet) Mrozinski, 91, passed away peacefully on Monday, Feb. 15, 2016 at Paradigm Health Center in Prospect.

Mr. Mrozinski was born in Beacon Falls, on July 29, 1924, son of the late Stanley and Anastasia (Sierakowski) Mrozinski. A lifelong resident of Beacon Falls, he graduated from the University of Bridgeport and retired from IBM after 30 years of service.

Chet proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 25 in Beacon Falls for over 60 years, the Polish National Alliance Lodge 2128, the Polish Falcons Nest #64 in Naugatuck, and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church where he served as an usher for many years and was a recipient of the Archdiocese St. Joseph Medal. He also served as town treasurer in Beacon Falls for several years.

Mr. Mrozinski is survived by his sister Wanda Mulinski and her husband Mitchell of Beacon Falls; his uncle Edmund “Mooney” Sierakowski and his wife Dolores of Beacon Falls; his nephews and niece, Thomas Mulinski and his wife Tina, Cynthia Jurzynski and her husband Christopher and Steven Mulinski of Beacon Falls, and Christopher Mulinski of Boulder, Colo.; three grandnieces and one grandnephew, Courtney and Connor Jurzynski and Anastasia and Lauren Mulinski, and many cousins. He was predeceased by his niece, Laura Poeta Mulinski.

The family would like to thank the staff of Paradigm for blessing Chet with compassionate care and a touch of humor during his stay there, and VITAS Healthcare.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Church, 25 Maple Ave., Beacon Falls. Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral
Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
