To the editor,

I would like to thank the voters of Beacon Falls for your participation at the polls on Election Day last Tuesday. Although the three spots on the Board of Selectmen were uncontested, there were several competitive races for positions on the ballot, and over 1,100 of you responded and exercised your right to vote.

I would like to specifically thank our two registrars of voters, Kathy Grace and Helen Mis, as well as our moderator, Millie Kevit, and all of the support staff who helped make the process a smooth and efficient one.

On behalf of Selectman Peter Betkoski, I’d like to extend our best wishes to departing Selectman Dominic Sorrentino for his service, not just in the town administration during the past two years, but for his decades of committed public service to the town. We also extend a welcome to former Selectman Michael Krenesky as he returns to this position after serving for the past four years as town treasurer. We look forward to continuing the progress we’ve helped to make in the town, and we thank all of you for the opportunity to continue to serve you all.

Christopher J. Bielik

First Selectman
