Schools participating in summer food program

NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck public school system announced that it will participate in the federally-funded Seamless Summer Food Program.

The program provides free meals to all children 18 years old and under. The program runs on weekdays from July 1 to Aug. 21.

Meals will be served from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Hop Brook School playground, 75 Crown St., and City Hill Middle School, 441 City Hill St.

Meals will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the following locations: Central Avenue School, 28 Central Ave.; Baummers Pond Park, 95 Mill St.; Legion Park, 2 Conrad St.; Andrew Avenue School, 140 Andrew Ave.; Salem School, 124 Meadow St.; Linden Park, 1 Curtiss St.; YMCA, 284 Church St.; Southwood Apartments, 933 Rubber Ave.
