NAUGATUCK — Franciszka J. Remiszewska, 80, widow of Stefan Remiszewski, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the VITAS Unit of St. Mary’s Hospital.

Mrs. Remiszewska was born in Zwierzyniec, Poland, on March 8, 1935, daughter of the late Pawel and Czeslawa (Ploska) Kacprzynski. A longtime Naugatuck resident, she had worked at Selectro in New Britain for 15 years. She enjoyed fishing with her late husband, crocheting and watching Wheel of Fortune and Family Feud. Mrs. Remiszewska was a communicant of St. Hedwig Church.

She leaves her children, Pawel Remiszewski of Watertown, Tadeusz Remiszewski of Wallingford, and Boguslawa Gumowski of Naugatuck; her brother, Bogdan Kacprzynski of Watertown; her sister, Modesta Ulatowska of Poland; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Hedwig Church, Naugatuck. Those attending are asked to please meet at the church at 10:15 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck.
