BEACON FALLS — Leida Lee Noss, 75, of Beacon Falls, entered into rest peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at The Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was born in Vinal Haven, Maine, on July 11, 1939 beloved daughter to the late Lawrence and Arlene Stuart Orcutt.

Leida was a solder assembler with the Hayden Switch Company for many years prior to her retirement. She was a long time resident of both Seymour and Beacon Falls and was a member of the Seymour Congregational Church. Leida was an avid writer and drawer who loved to spend time at the Beacon Falls Senior Center. She will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.

Her loving family includes her son, George Wityak and his wife, Mary Ann, of Albuquerque, N.M.; her three brothers, Robert Orcutt and James Orcutt of Maine and Mark Orcutt of Ansonia; her six cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Colin, Marisa, Jacqueline, Jason and Jeffery; her nine cherished great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Leida was predeceased by her sons, Gregory Wityak and Wyman Philbrook and her sister, Jeanie Orcutt.

A Funeral Service in Celebration of Leida’s life will be held on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (opposite Klarides Village, Route 67) Seymour. Interment in the family plot will follow at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Monday from 3 p.m. until the start of the service.
