NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Elks Lodge is hosting its second annual Battle of the Sauces on Saturday.
The event, which runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Elks Lodge at 758 Rubber Ave., pits amateur chefs against each other. The chefs provide their favorite sauce for sampling over ziti or bread. Participants then vote on their favorite sauce. Each vote costs $1.
The event is a fundraiser. This year, the proceeds will benefit the Safe Kids Program at the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and Connecticut Special Olympics. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 years old and under. For more information, call the Elks Lodge at (203) 729-7967
