NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Fire Department held an awards and honor ceremony April 8 in the St. Francis Church hall.

Lt. John Debisschop III, John Debisschop II and Jason Behuniak received the Commissioner’s Award.

Britney Soubannarath received the Department Special Award.

The Bethany Fire Department received the Naugatuck Fire Department Plaque
Years of Service awards were given to Provisional Fire Marshal Robert Weaver (25 years) and Sean Reilly (20 years.)

David Proulx received the Military Service Award.

The Community Service Award was given to Firefighter Franklin Andrew.

Second Assistant Chief Paul Russell was given the Firefighter of the Year award.

New firefighters David Proulx, Shane Henion, Patrick Richards, Kaitlyn Judson and Michael Ames were sworn in.

Newly promoted officers Capt. John DeBisschop III and Lt. Tommy Moore were sworn in.

Recent Naugatuck Fire Department retirees captains Richard Alfes and James Trzaski; firefighters James Roberts, Robert Ragauskas, Franklin “Tim” Andrew and department secretary Louise Ross were also recognized.

New Fire Police members Jeffrey Perry, Bradley Rotatori, Matt Katra and Sydney Boyd were also honored.
