NAUGATUCK — Debra Lynn (Pemberton) Lennon passed away peacefully at her home on March 14, 2015 with her family at her side. For the past 17 years, Debra fought courageously battling a brain tumor. She was the wife of Clarence (Cary) A. Lennon, Jr.

Debra was born Oct. 30, 1956 to Jean L. (Jenkins) Pemberton of Beacon Falls and the late Douglas R. Pemberton in Albany, N.Y., before moving to Beacon Falls in 1960. Debra attended Laurel Ledge School and graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1974.

Most people will remember Deb for her bright smile and extremely positive attitude whether it was welcoming children on the school bus in her early working years as a Naugatuck bus driver or greeting clients at Naugatuck Savings Bank where she worked as a teller for the last 17 years. It was at the bank that Deb formed many long-lasting relationships with her warm and caring personality.

Never one to complain, with grace, Deb battled a brain tumor while still finding time to enjoy the simple things in life. Many of the things she enjoyed included spending time with her family and friends. Some of her favorite times included listening to acoustic music as she prepared dinner for the entire family on Sundays, sitting on the deck enjoying a martini after work, or soaking in the sun at the beach. She enjoyed traveling, mostly to her favorite spots such as Moody Beach, Maine, Cancun and Aruba.

Debra was very devoted to her family. Besides her husband Cary of 35 years, Debra is survived by her children, Michael Lennon and his wife Laura of Woodbury, Marc Lennon and his wife Emily of Southington and Sara Lennon and her boyfriend Joe Harper of Naugatuck.

She is also survived by her six siblings, Susan Wisniewski and her husband Stephen of Sandy Hook, Sandra Morrone and her husband Andy of Waterbury, Douglas Pemberton and his wife Nancy of Beacon Falls, Rhonda Bridsche and her husband Ron of Bristol, Christopher Pemberton of Naugatuck and Bill Pemberton of Beacon Falls; a.
