KISSIMMEE, Fla. — John T. Barry, Jr., (known to most as Jack) of Kissimmee, Fla. died on Feb. 14, 2015 with his loving wife by his side at the age of 70. Formerly of Naugatuck, Conn. and Scituate, Mass., Jack was the son of the late John T. Barry Sr. and Regina B. Barry of Scituate, Mass.
Jack is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary Ann, and their children, Shawn Barry and his wife, Jill, of Glastonbury, Conn., and Colleen Barry Mattatall and her husband, David of Wethersfield, Conn. He is also survived by grandchildren, Emmett, Kaye and Jameson Barry and Nolan and Emily Mattatall. He was predeceased by his parents and his daughter, Regina Karin Barry.
Jack was a member of Scituate High School, class of 1961 and a graduate of East Coast Aero Technical School, class of 1966. He was employed by Sikorsky Aircraft from 1966 until his retirement in 1999. Upon retirement, Jack and his wife, Mary Ann (Mills) relocated to Florida. During his employment Jack traveled to Virginia Beach, Seattle, Savannah, Bahrain and Australia. Jack enjoyed reading, playing cards and darts with friends and cooking with his wife

An Irish wake will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 4 to 6 p.m. at First and Last Tavern, 220 Main Street, Middletown, CT 06457 so that family and friends can gather together and remember Jack. A service in Florida will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Osceola Memory Gardens Poinciana Chapel, 3175 Pleasant Hill Road, Kissimmee.
