WATERBURY — Mr. James Jay Oliver, 47, of Waterbury, formerly of Naugatuck, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015 at the Paradigm Health Care Center in Waterbury.
Mr. Oliver was born in Manhassett, Long Island on April 28, 1967 a son of John J. Oliver of Naugatuck and the late Diane (Rosen) Oliver. He was a graduate of Naugatuck High School and was a former employee of Risdon Manufacturing and also worked at Cly-Del Manufacturing. He enjoyed playing baseball and golf and was an avid sports fan.
In addition to his father, Mr. Oliver is survived by two brothers, Steven B. Oliver and his wife, Fay, of Naugatuck and John Philip Oliver; aunts and uncles, Michael and Pat Rosen of Levittown, N.Y., and Tom and Gail Isaacs of Evergreen, Colo.; nephews, James Christopher Oliver and Josh Gavin and cousins, Jaclyn Rosen, Jessica and Steve Juliano, Michelle Plante and Jenna Plante.
Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is in charge of arrangements.
