NAUGATUCK — Rudolph D. “Rudy” Fusco, ge 81, passed away of Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at West Haven Veteran’s Administration Hospital. He was husband of Vivianne (Poulin) Fusco.

Mr. Fusco was born in Waterbury, on March 16, 1933, son of the late Daniel and Chiriana (Polletta) Fusco. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident and had also lived in Waterbury. He retired from Alloy Foundaries after 30 years of service and had also worked as a police officer for the City of Waterbury, as well as Bozzutos and Advance Auto Sales. Rudy was a HAM operator and had a CB license. He was an avid New York Yankee fan, and he was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church. Mr. Fusco proudly served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.

Besides his wife Vivianne, Rudy is survived by his daughters, Anita Francisco and her husband Martin, and Phyllis Fusco, all of Waterbury; a stepson, Christopher Harper and his wife Carrie of Farmington; a stepdaughter, Kim Callahan and her husband Michael of Naugatuck; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one niece. He was predeceased by his sons, Daniel and David Fusco; his brother, Salvatore Fusco, and grandson, Randy, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Those attending are asked to please meet at the church at 9:45 a.m. Burial with military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, is assisting the family with arrangements.
