NAUGATUCK — John F. Terry, Jr., 47, husband of Michele (St. Peter) Terry, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015 at Waterbury Hospital.
John was born in Waterbury, on Jan. 1, 1968, son of Theresa A. (Evanoski) Terry of Naugatuck, and the late John F. Terry, Sr. A lifelong Naugatuck resident, he most recently worked at T and A Screw Machine in Waterbury. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, the outdoors and especially watching his daughter play basketball. He also served in the United States Navy for two years.
Besides his wife Michele, and his mother Theresa, John is survived by his daughter, Allison Terry of Naugatuck; his sister, Michelle Terry of Cheshire; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Christopher Terry, Sr.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, followed by a service at 6:30 p.m. Members of the Naugatuck Veterans Council are requested to meet at the funeral home on Friday at 6 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
