BEACON FALLS — At least three people were displaced after fire broke out in their home at 439 Rimmon Hill Road Thursday night.

Beacon Hose Company No. 1 was called at 7:28 p.m. for a fire in the attic of the single-family home. Firefighters saw heavy smoke and fire in the attic, said Jeremy Rodorigo, spokesman for the fire department.

The firefighters were able to attack the flames by ripping down part of the ceiling and walls, he said. Nobody was injured.

The incident caused heavy smoke and fire throughout the attic near the chimney, Rodorigo said. The cause remains under investigation.

Fifteen volunteers from Beacon Falls fought the fire with help from firefighters from Oxford and Seymour.
