Concert to benefit toy drives

NAUGATUCK — On Saturday night people will have the chance to enjoy live music and do some good.

Peter Pinho, the star of the internet radio comedy and music show “The Peter Pinho Show,” is hosting his third annual Toy Drive with a special concert Saturday at Cook’s Cafe, 203 Church St.

The doors open at 4 p.m. and the music starts at 5 p.m. Admission is a new unwrapped toy or $10. All the collected funds will go to the purchase of new toys. The proceeds and toys will benefit police department-sponsored toy drives in Naugatuck and Southbury.
The event will feature nine local bands performing throughout the evening, including As Darkness Dies, Demons Past, CBX, Shadow Kingdom, Vespera, Vision Within, Simple Machinery, Richie B. and We Are Nothing.

Pinho and the comedy personalities from his show will be presenting a live broadcast of the event throughout the evening.
