WATERTOWN — Mr. Thomas Borzino, 91, of Watertown, formerly of Naugatuck, passed away peacefully on Oct. 20, 2014 at Paradigm of Propsect, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Cecile (Massicotte) Borzino.

Mr. Borzino was born June 14, 1923 in Morcone, Italy a son of the late Lorenzo and Domenica (Pizzelle) Borzino. He was retired from Uniroyal Inc. in Naugatuck and was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Naugatuck. He was a member of the Naugatuck Senior Center, enjoyed playing cards especially cribbage, bowling and golf. He was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants fan. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his loving family and many friends.

Mr. Borzino proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1943-1946.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Borzino is survived by a daughter, Nancy Borzino and her husband, Howard Penny, of Thomaston; a son, Thomas R. Borzino of Watertown; three granddaughters, Jennifer Almy and her husband, Kevin, Kimberly Borzino and her fiancé, Estras Olivera and Meghan Borzino and her fiancé, Theodore Reinheimer; two step-granddaughters, Ara and Avalon Penny; five great-grandchildren, Brianna Demrest, Cayden Almy, Kaylee Almy, Mia Reinheimer and Emma Reinheimer; a step-great-grandson, Zachary Almy and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Gina Holzer and a brother, Bernard Borzino.

A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Entombment with full military honors will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. There are no calling hours. The Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect is in charge of arrangements.
