PROSPECT — St. Anthony Church’s Pumpkin Patch opens for a fifth year on Oct. 4.

The patch runs through Oct. 31 at the church, 4 Union City Road. Visitors can pick through pumpkins weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The weekends will also feature a host of activities including a bounce house, face painting, a maze, exhibitions and performances by local high school students. New activities this year include miniature and frisbee golf games and a princess and superhero day.

Field trips for schools or other groups can be scheduled on weekdays. The church is also holding a Best Pumpkin Recipe and Best Scarecrow contests.

The proceeds from the Pumpkin Patch support the Church’s HOPE Ministry, which assists people in need with financial, educational, practical and spiritual guidance.
