The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

DAVID SCOTT, 49, of 15 Applewood Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 3 with driving under the influence, insurance coverage fails minimum requirements, improper use of marker, license, registration, and operating or towing an unregistered motor vehicle.

Police reported on Aug. 3 an officer responded to May Street and Spruce Drive for a one-car accident. Scott struck a utility pole. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Scott was operating under the influence of alcohol. Scott was given a court date of Aug. 14 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

DAVID STANLEY, 22, of 161 Beacon Hill Commons, Beacon Falls, was charged Aug. 4 with illegal sale of controlled substance, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, and use of drug paraphernalia.

Police reported on Aug. 4 an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Tawny Thrush Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Stanley was in possession of a metal grinding device and 1.65 ounces of marijuana. He was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

JAMAAL GEE, 20, of 45 Charlene Lane, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on Aug. 7 Gee turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Gee was given a court date of Aug. 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $136 court-set cash bond.

MARIO CARVALHO, 57, of 180 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with driving under the influence and making an improper turn.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 7:23 p.m. an officer responded to Cherry Street for a report of an erratic driver. The officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Division Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Carvalho was operating under the influence of alcohol. Carvalho was given a court date of Aug. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

BRYAN PHILLIPS, 38, of 18 Oak St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 7 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Aug. 7 at approximately 5:07 p.m. Phillips turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Phillips was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 court-set surety bond.

RICHARD TIMMS, 38, of 163 Graaher St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 8 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 8 Timms was arrested on an active arrest warrant while he was at court. The warrant was for larceny reported on July 7, 2014 at Stop & Shop. Police reported stole eight cases of beer valued at $119.94. Timms was given a court date of Aug. 8 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

JENNIFER GIBRAN, 29, of 158 Hillside Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 8 with risk of injury to child, second-degree stalking, breach of peace, and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 7:35 p.m. Gibran was arrested for a past domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Police reported Gibran continually contacted the victim through text messaging and Facebook. Gibran drove by the victim’s home and place of work, police reported. While driving on Millville Avenue Gibran, who was traveling in the opposite direction, swerved at the victim’s vehicle, police reported. Gibran was given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 non-surety bond.

ROBERT SWIRSKI, 45, of 10 Pond View Drive, Prospect, was charged Aug. 8 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on Aug. 8 at approximately 4:21 p.m. officers responded to Prospect Street for a report of a motor vehicle accident. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Swirski was operating under the influence of alcohol. Swirski was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

JOSEPH NATELLE, 53, of 40 Nicole Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 9 with driving under the influence and failure to drive right.

Police reported on Aug. 9 at approximately 9:13 p.m. officers responded to Crosspointe Plaza for an intoxicated male. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Natelle was operating under the influence of alcohol. Natelle was given a court date of Aug. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

FLORENCE BARNETT-LEVY, 40, of 933 Rubber Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 11 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault, and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on Aug. 11 at approximately 2:17 a.m. officers responded to 933 Rubber Ave. 8N for a domestic disturbance between husband and wife. During an argument, police reported, Barnett-Levy pulled the victim’s hair. When the officers arrived Barnett-Levy was uncooperative and tried to walk past the officers, police reported. Barnett-Levy was given a court date of Aug. 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.
