Thieves target unlocked cars

NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck police issued a reminder to residents to make sure their cars are locked after a rash of break-ins this week.

Police received several reports of break-ins to vehicles over the past of a few nights, according to a press release. The break-ins occurred in all areas in Naugatuck, police said, and all of the cars were left unlocked.

Police reminded residents to always lock their cars and remove any valuables. Residents are also asked to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity to police immediately.
