BEACON FALLS — The Beacon Falls Market may open its doors to customers once again.

According to Economic Development Commission Chairman Jeremy Rodorigo there are three parties who have expressed interest in reopening the market. However, due to ongoing negotiations, Rodorigo was unable to identify the parties.

The market, located at 81 South Main St., closed its doors in February much to the surprise of everyone in town.

Sarah Kim of New York took the business over at the end of 2012 from longtime owners Charlie and Jeane Lee, who owned the business since 1989. The Lees still own the building.

Rodorigo said all three parties are actively looking at the market and negotiating with the Lees. He expects the market to reopen within a few months.

“I feel very confident that one of three parties will close on the deal, and we’ll have a market again in town, which will be great,” Rodorigo said.
