Letter: Veterans grateful for support

To the editor,

We extend our gratitude to all the individuals, businesses and organizations that sponsored and supported the POW/MIA vigil held on the Green in Naugatuck on June 14.
Thanks to all the volunteers who helped to make this meaningful event the success that it was. Bringing the POW/MIA issue to the public’s attention goes a long way in making our government take notice that a full accounting of all prisoners of war and those missing in action is something that the American people want. The families of all those who served in the armed forces with honor, and gave their all, need and deserve final closure regarding the fates of their loved ones.
This was the second annual vigil and plans are now underway for the third vigil scheduled for June 20, 2015.

The POW/MIA Committee of the Naugatuck Veterans Council along with the CT Vietnam Veterans Committee of Milford and West Haven presented and managed the vigil.
God bless our veterans, all those serving in our armed forces, our POW’s and MIA’s, and the United States of America.
