NAUGATUCK — Mr. Earl A. White, 90, of Naugatuck, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at VITAS Innovative Care Unit at Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of Shirley (Kindulas) White.

Mr. White was born in Barre, Vt. on Dec. 14, 1923, a son of the late Edgar R. and Olgore (Ledoux) White. He was a longtime Naugatuck resident and a Navy veteran proudly serving during World War II. He worked as a machinist for various companies and retired after many years of service. He volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Mission in Waterbury. He was an active communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church where he served as a catechist and Eucharistic minister.

Besides his wife of Naugatuck, he leaves three sons, Norman White of Montpelier, Vt., Roger White of Miami, Fla., Mark White of Dublin, N.H.; three daughters, Jeanne Mazza of Guilford, Elaine Russo of Naugatuck, Claire Niquette of Clearwater, Fla.; two step-daughters, Lisa White and Karen Hornak both of Naugatuck; 15 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Lucienne White and his son, Earl Timothy White.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road, Naugatuck. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church at 9:15 a.m. Burial with full military honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck.
