NAUGATUCK — Ann M. (Zmyewski) Adamski, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Englewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Florida. She was widow of William Adamski, Jr.

Ann was born in Naugatuck on Oct. 23, 1933, daughter of the late Bronislaw and Mary (Kozicki) Zmyewski. She was a lifelong Naugatuck resident, and she had retired from the chemical division of Uniroyal after many years of service. She had also been employed at Waterbury Hospital for many years. She was a communicant of St. Hedwig Church.

Mrs. Adamski is survived by her three sons, Michael Adamski of Naugatuck, Mark Adamski and his wife Pam of Naugatuck, and Kevin Adamski and his wife Kim of Oakville; her daughter, Laurine Gambardella and her husband James of Watertown; a brother Edward Zmyewski of South Carolina; her sisters, Florence Sterniak of Florida, Sophie Zmyewski and Betty Wooster of Naugatuck; eight grandchildren, Shaughn, Matthew, Joseph, Liana, Sara, Crystal, Alyssa and Josh; one great-granddaughter Cassidy; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 9:15 a.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to St. Hedwig Church, 32 Golden Hill St., Naugatuck, for a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. Members of the Naugatuck Women’s Club are asked to meet on Monday at 6 p.m.
