Whittemore Library features photographer’s work

WhittemoreLibraryNAUGATUCK — The Whittemore Library is featuring the photography of Ray Kwiatkoski this month.

Kwiatkoski, formerly of Watertown and Woodbury, is a self-taught photographer who works primarily in black and white film using a Canon AE 1 camera. 

As a freelance journalist, Kwiatkoski began his career using a Vivitar camera and further honed his creative writing skills. Kwiatkoski attended Southern Connecticut State College where he studied elementary education but left shortly after pursue writing.  Literature and creative writing and his strong photographic sense eventually led to the publication of Rural Wealth, which combines poetry with many of the images on display this month.
