NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Police Department has a medication drop box in the main lobby at 211 Spring St., accessible 24 hours a day.

Citizens are welcome to use the box with no questions asked, according to a press release. Unwanted medications will be safely and securely destroyed.

Over-the-counter and prescription medications, samples, pet medications, medicated lotions or ointments can be discarded in the box. Needles, hazardous waste, thermometers and personal care products such as shampoo will not be accepted.
