NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce announced there are still opportunities for local area nonprofit organizations to sell raffle tickets for the 8th Annual Duck Day and Race June 2.
“We continue to welcome nonprofit organizations that would like to raise monies for their organizations through this very popular annual fundraising event that annually attracts over 10,000 attendees,” said Lynn Ward, president and CEO of the Waterbury Regional Chamber and the Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce, in a statement. “Over the last seven years, nonprofit organizations and school groups collectively earned over $220,000 through their participation.”
The chamber will donate 50 percent of all the proceeds from Duck Race raffle tickets sold by volunteers of each participating nonprofit organization back to the charitable organizations. Nonprofit organizations interested in selling raffle tickets can call Diana Drysdale at (203) 757-0701.
