Dinner to benefit church damaged by flood

NAUGATUCK — A benefit ziti dinner will be held Monday to raise money for needed repairs at St. Francis Church.

The church hall flooded when sewer lines backed up from severe rains Aug. 1 causing heavy damage. The dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Triple Play Sports Bar and Grille, 16 Straits Turnpike, Watertown. The event will feature a silent auction and live music. Tickets are $7 for adults, 16 years old and older, and $5 for children and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at Rosenblatt’s Department Store, 85 Maple St, Naugatuck.

Donations are also being accepted to help pay for the repairs. Donations can be mailed to: St. Francis Church, 318 Church St., Naugatuck, CT 06770, Attn: St. Francis Donahue Hall Relief Fund.
