Police recover stolen car in Prospect

BEACON FALLS — Police have recovered a 1997 Ford Taurus in Prospect that was reported stolen along with other property at an Andrasko Road home.

According to a news release from Troop I in Bethany, there was a large gathering of people at 38 Andrasko Road on Saturday evening into Sunday morning. During that time, the Ford, which had a GPS unit inside, was stolen.

Two iPods, loose coins and a man’s gold ring were taken from another vehicle and an iPhone 4 and a wallet with cash and miscellaneous papers were taken from the house, police said.

The owner of the car found his car parked in the parking lot of St. Anthony’s Church in Prospect about 8:54 p.m. Saturday, Prospect Resident Trooper Matt Comeau confirmed Tuesday.

As of this post, the Beacon Falls Resident State Trooper’s Office was continuing to investigate the incident. No other details were provided.
