NAUGATUCK — The police department is looking to the public to help return stolen property to their rightful owners.

During May and June, several cars were broken into on the west side of town and GPS units and cameras were stolen from them, according to a release issued by the police department.

Detective Paul Markette identified a suspect and recovered 12 GPS units and two cameras, according to the release. He has identified the owners of six of the GPS units but has been unable to identify the owners of the rest of the stolen property.

If anyone has information or had a GPS unit or camera stolen during that time frame, police ask that they contact Markette at (203) 729-7106.
