Literacy Volunteers offering tutoring for citizenship test

WATERBURY — Literacy Volunteers of Greater Waterbury is holding registrations for adults in the greater Waterbury area who want to study in the U.S. Citizenship Tutoring Program.

The registration sessions will be held on Tuesday 29 at 6 p.m. and repeated on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of the Silas Bronson Library, 267 Grand St., Waterbury. This program is offered free of charge.

Adults who are eligible to apply for U.S. citizenship but need some help to pass the test and interview, particularly the English language requirements, are encouraged to enroll in the tutoring program. Individuals with extremely limited English skills will be referred to the English as Second Language Tutoring Program. Tutoring sessions are available during the day and evening.
