NAUGATUCK—Three borough teenagers were arrested Monday afternoon and charged with robbing someone walking behind Salem School.

According to a report issued by the Naugatuck Police Department, officers responded to Salem School shortly before 5 p.m. Monday for the report of a robbery. Police said the victim was walking on a trial behind the school, when a 15-year-old borough teen threw a sweatshirt over his head.

At the same time, police said, Garbiel Medina, 18 of 26 Nixon Ave., Naugatuck, took the victims wallet from his pocket. The wallet contained $55 and a iTunes gift card worth $15, police said.

The teens then fled the area, and police said the victim saw the suspects as they ran away.

Police found and arrested Medina at Naugatuck High School. He was charged with robbery in the third degree, conspiracy at robbery in the third degree, larceny in the sixth degree, and conspiracy at larceny in the sixth degree.

Medina was given a court date of Oct. 21 and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

The 15-year-old was found walking in the area and arrested. He faces the same charges as Medina and was released to his mother.

Police also arrested a 16-year-old borough boy who they said conspired with the other suspects and was present at the time of the robbery. The boy was arrested at his home and charged with conspiracy at robbery in the third degree, and conspiracy at larceny in the sixth degree. He was released to his mother.
