Why are you running for this position?

“I’m running for office to make Naugatuck a better place to live and take a common sense approach to government. I’m fair, honest, consistent and an independent thinker on all issues.”

Have you held public office in the past? If so, what positions and when?

“I was elected burgess in 1997 and still serve as burgess. I served on the Finance Board from 1989 to 1997, six years as chairman.”

What experience makes you qualified for this position?

“The following are a few committees that I am chairman of: the Five Year Capital Committee, instrumental in improvements to the schools and town projects, the Solar Energy Committee, largest municipal solar roof project in the state, the VNA Building Committee, the Town Audit Committee and the Revaluation Committee. I am also the liaison to the Park Department and Finance Department and a member of the Charter Revision Committee, Long Term Facilities Planning Committee and Executive Budget Committee. I have also been involved in community service including 24 years in youth sports, a past volunteer for grad night and St. Francis School.

If elected, what are your priorities and goals?

“My priorities and goals will be to try to keep the taxes down. Work to keep Naugatuck moving in the right direction. Keep improving the infrastructure in Naugatuck. Look to the long term future of Naugatuck. And, continue to view everything in a Common Sense approach.”
