Traffic stop leads to drug arrest

PROSPECT — A routine traffic stop lead to drug charges for 21-year-old Wolcott man and his 17-year-old passenger.

Adam Ajro, 21, of Wolcott and a 17-year-old girl were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia March 4 after being pulled over in Prospect.

According a state police arrest report, Ajro was pulled over because the front head light on his car was out. As the officer approached the car, the officer noticed Ajro trying to conceal marijuana and a marijuana pipe, according to the report.
After a search, the report stated, a small amount of marijuana and two bottles of oxycodone were found in the 17-year-old girl’s purse.

Ajro was given a court date of March 24 to appear in Waterbury Superior Court and bond was set at $500.
